About Liza
Coming from a dance and singing background, Liza was originally drawn to yoga because of a back injury, but she very soon realized that yoga is much more than physical postures. Through an in-depth study of yoga philosophy and more recently, bhakti yoga practices (yoga of devotion, singing to the divine or also called chanting ) she has developed an understanding of yoga as a way of living and which is then reflected in her teaching style.
The path of bhakti yoga (which could be translated of yoga of devotion) is shared both on her kirtans and yoga classes, encouraging and inspiring people to connect back to their hearts, to their real essence, to their truth. Cultivating a loving attitude of compassion and service towards ourselves, and others around us. To raise our vibration and therefore the vibration all around us. By feeling more connected and happier with ourselves, we will offer a more positive and radiant attitude towards the world
Her main interest as a yoga teacher is to enable students to face daily life situations with grace, strength, humour and always a smile. She attempts to help them understand that the yoga practice doesn’t stop when you roll up your mat but continues when you leave the studio and go back to deal with the flow of circumstances that life puts you in. The yoga practice is happening in every moment and every situation.
Liza is a Yoga Alliance Certified teacher. She is also qualified to teach Restorative and pregnancy yoga.
